Manson Farmer’s Market

MANSON - The Farmer’s Market in Manson is open for the 2018 season.  Markets are Saturday and Wednesday mornings at the Manson Grange.  Local farmers, growers, crafters and artisans bring fresh picked produce and handcrafted items.  Market starts at 8:30 a.m. when the bell rings.  Sellouts are common so come early for the best selection.  Market runs until 11:30 a.m., some vendors may linger longer, but many vendors sellout and leave early.  If you are a grower or gardener in Chelan, Douglas or Okanogan county space is always available for produce vendors.  Come for a day for just $5, or the season for $50.  They have limited availability for new artists. Vendors must be parked by 8:00 a.m. The Manson Grange is at 157 Wapato Way on the right as you enter Manson. Summer Schedule for rifle range
CHELAN - The North Cascades Sportsman Club rifle range is now on a summer schedule due to the risk of fire danger. Shooting is only permitted when a Range Safety Officer is on site. Shooting is limited to 200 yards. The range is open: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays,10 a.m. to noon (or longer if there is still activity). Please arrive before noon as the Range Safety Officer may close the range if there are no shooters present. The shotgun range schedule remains unchanged and is open on Sundays. Story time Chelan / Manson Libraries
CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!
MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

CHELAN - The regular meeting for Chelan County Fire District #7  is held the second Wednesday of the month, and is now held at 5:30 p.m. at the fire station, 232 E. Wapato.

CHELAN - Baby rhymin’ time is every Friday at 10 a.m., at the Chelan Pubic Library on Emerson Street, for ages 0-3 years. Join them for singing, dancing, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, and story telling for babies, waddlers and toddlers.

STEHEKIN - There is work to be done at the orchard. Come join the work party on Saturday, July 14, 8:30 a.m. They will be thinning, weed eating, cleaning  and much more. Something to fit everyone’s talents and age.  You can thin in shorts, but long pants are best for weed eating. Come when you can, leave when you need to. It all helps. www.

MANSON - The 11th annual Lake Chelan Boating Club (LCBC) Poker Run will be starting from the Lake Chelan Boat Club Marina near Mill Bay Park, Manson. CHELAN - The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, has two support groups. CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on the Sunday.

Join in the Lake Chelan Rodeo Parade

CHELAN - Rodeo activities kick off with the annual Rodeo Parade down mainstreet on Thursday, July 31. The parade starts at 7 p.m. and you are invited to line the parade route to see the horses, the kids, the pretty girls, cool cars, and dignitaries from all our surrounding communities. Or if you wish, be more than just a bytstander, fill out an application and put your business, club, or family in the parade.  Drive your truck, ride your bike, or just ride with your friends.  The Rodeo Parade is always a big hit.
