CHURCH EVENTS
April 19 Good Friday Service
MANSON – Lake Chelan Community Choir will present Good Friday Services on April 19, 7 p.m. at North Shore Bible Church, 123 Wapato Point Parkway. There will be Open Communion and there is no charge for admission.
April 21 Easter Sunrise Service
MANSON - Easter Sunrise Service at Scout Hill at 6:30 a.m. led by North Shore Bible Church, Sunday, April 21 - this is a community event, everyone is invited.

Good Friday and Easter Services

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church will hold a Good Friday Service on April 19 at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, April 21: Breakfast at 9 a.m., Easter Egg Hunt at 9:20 a.m. and Easter Service at 10 a.m. The church is located on the corner of Johnson and Emerson.

Healing Prayers

CHELAN - Healing Prayers is a safe, non judgmental, hope filled ministry lead by compassionate believers from multi-denominational churches with in the Chelan Valley and is endorsed by many area churches. Healing Prayers operates in the power of God’s Holy Word to seek and to save the lost and to restore the broken hearted. They trust in God’s precepts and commandments and the promises HE gives to his children; including promises to non believers who are searching for answers in their lives. The invitation is for all who are seeking prayer, healing, direction,  and restoration. Our prayers are for Gods Divine Healing, physically, emotionally & spiritually.  Delivering The Word of Hope, Encouragement, Instruction and Redemption. Location:  213 Sanders St. Chelan. Located on the Campus of the Nazarene Church and is across the street from the Fire Station. Dates: Every second and fourth Thursday of Every Month. Time: 6-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Hello Beautiful Women’s Conference

MANSON - Registration is now open for the Hello Beautiful Women’s Conference taking place on April 26-28 at the Sower’s Hall Community Center in Manson.  The dynamic two-day conference is designed to equip, encourage and challenge women to thrive in all aspects of life. During the conference women will get to experience life-chanign speakers, inspiring worship, practical workshops and so much more.  The cost of the event includes food, speakers, a gift bag and lots of fun. Story time Chelan / Manson Libraries

CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!
MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

Cancer Support Group, yoga class

CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. This class is held every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at Yogachelan.  Contact Yogachelan for more information.
The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, meets the second Tuesday of each month with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

Conversations Around Death/Death Conversations Group

CHELAN - On the third Wednesday of each month we will meet at the Chelan Senior Center from 9-10:30 a.m. to talk about what we can do legally, emotionally, religiously, financially to prepare for our passing. This is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to attend. Each month there will be a different subject explored. City of Chelan Arbor Day celebration

CHELAN - The City of Chelan will be holding its annual Arbor Day celebration on Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m. in Don Morse Park, located at 619 West Manson Highway, Chelan. They will be hosting a free hot dog barbecue with musical entertainment by the Chelan High School Jazz Band. One hundred and fifty tubed Norway Spruce seedlings will be given away, as well as an Arbor Day related educational presentation.  For information contact Kim Fogle at (509) 682-8023.

City-wide Clean-up Day, volunteers needed

CHELAN - The City of Chelan is looking for citizen volunteers to help clean up the city. Individuals or groups can clean up their neighborhoods, the parks and along the lakeshore. Pick any two hours in the morning and simply grab a bag and some neighbors and clean litter. The City will provide four dumpsters for you to dump bags of litter and larger pieces of trash. They will be located at City Hall Parking Lot, Don Morse Parking Lot, Fire Station Parking Lot and South Chelan Play Fields Parking Lot.  For additional details call City Hall (509) 682-4037.

CHELAN - Baby rhymin’ time is every Friday at 10 a.m., at the Chelan Pubic Library on Emerson Street, for ages 0-3 years. Join them for singing, dancing, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, and story telling for babies, waddlers and toddlers.

Chelan Friends of Library Book Sale

CHELAN - Chelan Friends of the Library will offer recycled books for sale at the Chelan Earth Day Fair, Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Riverwalk Park. There will be fiction, nonfiction and kids books and audio.  Sales benefit local literacy programs.

CHELAN - Chelan County Public Hospital District #2 (Lake Chelan Community Hospital and Clinics) will be holding a regular board meeting on Tuesday, April 23, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., in the Board room, located at Lake Chelan Community Hospital, 503 E Highland Ave., Chelan.  The  public is welcome to attend. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

CHELAN - Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group for Chelan/Manson is Wednesday, April 24, 9-11:00 a.m. (4th Wednesday of each month) at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room. The group is open to caregivers and loved ones with Alzheimer’s. Tender Loving Care Volunteers will be available to provide caregiver support (care in the home for the person with Alzheimer’s) during the meeting. CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on that Sunday
