Manson Mingle

MANSON - The Manson Mingle is set for Wednesday, May 17, 6 p.m. at Four Lakes Winery. Be sure to bring your camera for some great shots. Owners Don Koester and Karl  Koester are looking forward to meeting you, along with Tasting Room manager Mariah Pyle. To keep cost down bring a snack (chips and dips) or a dessert to share with everyone in attendance. Remember to bring your business cards to distribute with others. The purpose of the Mingle is to give community and business leaders a chance to network at a friendly and fun event. This event is open to the public so come and see what is going on in Manson. 

Story time at library

CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!

MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

After school activity at library

MANSON - “The Page Turners” is the name for the group of kids that gather at the Manson Community library to listen to stories after school.  They will meet every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.  The group will have an after school snack, listen to a short story and one chapter of a continuing chapter book and make a craft.  This group is most appropriate for ages 6 to 10 but all children are welcome.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

Celebrate Recovery

CHELAN - Lake Chelan Celebrate Recovery Meets every Thursday at Living Stone Church, (formerly Little Stone Church), 2133 W. Woodin Avenue. Dinner is at 6 p.m., cost is $3. Group meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by gender-specific small groups. Celebrate Recovery is a confidential, Biblically-based twelve step program for anyone struggling with addiction, co-dependency, gambling, relationships and other life issues.

Baby rhymin’ time

CHELAN - Baby rhymin’ time is every Friday at 10 a.m., at the Chelan Pubic Library on Emerson Street, for ages 0-3 years. Join them for singing, dancing, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, and story telling for babies, waddlers and toddlers.

Rat Rod Car Show

MANSON - They’re coming back. The Monsters in Manson 2017 Rat Rod Car Show. May 19 and 20, at Leffler Field in Manson. Come and see all the amazing cars and trucks, hot rods, classics and more.  There will be music, food and beverages, helicopter rides and a huge swap meet.  If you’d like to enter your Rat Rod, go to:–truck-show-.... BPW  Marketplace

WENATCHEE - The Business and Professional Women organization will offer a “Marketplace” at the Wenatchee Convention Center (WCC) Friday and Saturday, May 19-20. It will feature 20 vendors, jewelry, kitchen items, beauty products, hair products, a massage station and more and will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days in the Gala rooms on the main floor. CVGS to meet - ‘Writing Memories’

CHELAN - Will your descendants know why you lived in the Chelan Valley? Fifty years from now will your life be a mystery? One of the challenging tasks in genealogy is learning why our ancestors made their life choices. Researchers are always delighted to locate journals and letters. What are you leaving for your posterity? For ideas and help, come to the Chelan Valley Genealogical Society’s meeting on May 20 at 10 a.m. in the Chelan Methodist Church on the corner of Johnson and Emerson. Our guest speaker, Nancy Culp, will teach “Writing Memories”. Visitors are always welcome.

Running of the Grapes

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Rotary’s First Annual Lake Chelan Vineyard Runs will be held Saturday, May 20, in the vineyards of Tsillan Cellars and Tunnel Hill Winery. There will be three separate races:  5k Vineyard Challenge, 5k Fun Run and 2.5k Fun Run.  Races for all ages and skill levels, bring your dog on the fun runs.  For more information and to register visit:

Cancer Support Groups

CHELAN - Second Meeting Added: The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, now has 2 support groups, the second Tuesday of each month for lunch, with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday of each month at LaBrisa at 5 p.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Men’s group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, at The Vogue, at 7 a.m.. All men who have a belief in Jesus Christ are welcome to attend.

Potluck dinner

CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on the Sunday.

Aging & Adult Services board meeting

EAST WENATCHEE - The 2017 meeting schedule for the Columbia River Council of Governments, governing body of Aging and Adult Care of Central Washington, scheduled to meet at 50 Simon Street S.E.: June 1; July 6; Aug. 3; Sept. 7; Oct. 5; Nov. 2; and Dec.7.   All meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. Grant County Commissioner Cindy Carter is chair of the council, composed of one county commissioner from Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Lincoln, and Okanogan Counties. CHELAN - The next meeting of the North Cascades Sportsman Club board will be held on Wednesday, May 3. Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at the Chelan PUD located at 1034 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan.

CHELAN - The Chelan County Veteran’s Service Coordinator will be in Chelan the second Thursday of each month, beginning Feb. 9.
