Harvest Dinner

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church will be serving its annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 16,  5-7 p.m. at the church located on the corner of Johnson and Emerson. Cost is by donation.  Come one,  come all.  Enjoy a delicious feast of turkey, stuffing,  mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, rolls, and holiday pies.  It’s an autumn community tradition that has  happened for three decades.  Craft and Food items, too.

Healing Prayers

CHELAN - Healing Prayers is a safe, non judgmental, hope filled ministry lead by compassionate believers from multi-denominational churches with in the Chelan Valley and is endorsed by many area churches. Healing Prayers operates in the power of God’s Holy Word to seek and to save the lost and to restore the broken hearted. They trust in God’s precepts and commandments and the promises HE gives to his children; including promises to non believers who are searching for answers in their lives. The invitation is for all who are seeking prayer, healing, direction,  and restoration. Our prayers are for Gods Divine Healing, physically, emotionally & spiritually.  Delivering The Word of Hope, Encouragement, Instruction and Redemption. Location:  213 Sanders St. Chelan. Located on the Campus of the Nazarene Church and is across the street from the Fire Station. Dates: Every second and fourth Thursday of Every Month. Time: 6-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Chelan Senior Center bazaar

CHELAN - Chelan Senior Center, a non-profit organization, is holding its annual holiday bazaar Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m at the Chelan Senior Center, 534 E. Trow Ave, the corner of Robinson and Trow (near the ballfields).  Bazaar items will include handmade arts and crafts, gifts, holiday cards, bake sale, a raffle, and so much more. Fresh cinnamon rolls and lunch will be available for purchase. If you have questions please contact Annie at the center 682-2712.

Holiday Extravaganza Vendors wanted

MANSON - Manson Apple Blossoms Holiday Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Manson Grange Hall. There will be light lunch and desserts for sale downstairs. NCRL, Worksource bringing Community Resources to Chelan

CHELAN - North Central Regional Library is hosting community resource specialists from WorkSource, SkillSource, Wenatchee Valley College, and OIC of Washington for office hours at the Chelan Public Library this fall. Community resource specialists will be at the Chelan Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on, November 18, and December 16. During these hours, they will provide help to job seekers. The resources and services will include resume review as well as assistance searching and applying for jobs. Specialists can also help individuals determine whether they qualify for additional support in pursuing education, training, and employment. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointments are needed. Assistance will be available in English and Spanish.

The Compassionate Friends to meet

WENATCHEE - The Compassionate Friends is an organization offering friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and their families. They are bereaved parents reaching out to bereaved parents. Anyone who has had a child or loved one die in their family is invited to their monthly meeting on the third Monday of the month, 7-8:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 1408 Washington Street in Wenatchee. The Death Cafe

CHELAN - On the third Wednesday of each month we will meet at the Chelan Senior Center from 9-10:30 a.m. to talk about what we can do legally, emotionally, religiously, financially to prepare for our passing. This is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to attend. Each month there will be a different subject explored. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

CHELAN - Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group for Chelan/Manson is Wednesday, Oct. 23, 9 -11:00 a.m. (4th Wednesday of each month) at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room. The group is open to caregivers and loved ones with Alzheimer’s. Currently four caregivers are attending and they have room for  up to 12. Tender Loving Care Volunteers will be available to provide caregiver support (care in the home for the person with Alzheimer’s) during the meeting.
