Manson Farmer’s Market

MANSON - The Farmer’s Market in Manson opens at 8:30 a.m. when the bell rings on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, at the Manson Grange, 157 Wapato Way and runs until 11:30 a.m.  Local farmers, growers, crafters and artisans bring fresh picked produce and handcrafted items. Sellouts are common so come early for the best selection, some vendors may linger longer, but many vendors sellout and leave early.  Come for a day for just $5, or the season for $50. Thursday Evening Farmers Market

CHELAN -  Thursday Evening Farmers market is open 4-7 p.m. every Thursday, on the corner of S. Emerson and Wapato Streets, between the Riverwalk Inn and Riverwalk Park. Sept. 6

Story time at library

MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!

Celebrate Recovery

CHELAN - Lake Chelan Celebrate Recovery Meets every Thursday at Living Stone Church, (formerly Little Stone Church), 2133 W. Woodin Avenue. Dinner is at 6 p.m., cost is $3. Group meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by gender-specific small groups. Celebrate Recovery is a confidential, Biblically-based twelve step program for anyone struggling with addiction, co-dependency, gambling, relationships and other life issues.

Community ‘Soup’ Kitchen

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church Community ‘Soup’ Kitchen is open every Friday, noon to 1:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Johnson and Emerson.

Baby rhymin’ time

CHELAN - Baby rhymin’ time is every Friday at 10 a.m., at the Chelan Pubic Library on Emerson Street, for ages 0-3 years. Join them for singing, dancing, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, and story telling for babies, waddlers and toddlers.

NCSC to meet

CHELAN - The next meeting of the North Cascades Sportsman Club board will be held on Wednesday, August 2. Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at the Chelan PUD located at 1034 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan.

Bilingual story time

CHELAN - Bilingual story time is the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.at the Chelan Library. A fun half hour of stories in Spanish and English for families. The Chelan Library is located at the corner of Emerson and Chelan. For information 682-5131.

Manson Fire District meeting

MANSON - The Chelan County Fire District 5 Commissioners will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday, August 8, at 4:30 p.m. at Station 51 located at 250 W. Manson Blvd. 

Heritage Heights board meeting

CHELAN - The Heritage Heights Assisted Living monthly board meeting will be held July 11, (second Tuesday of every month), at 5 p.m. in the activity room at Heritage Heights.  Community members are welcome to attend.  The meeting lasts approximately one hour. Chelan Friends of the Public Library

CHELAN - Chelan Friends of the Public Library will have their monthly member meeting Monday, Sept. 11, (always the second Monday of each month) at 7 p.m., in the Chelan Public Library meeting room, 218 N. Emerson Street. Any and all interested persons are welcome.

Al-Anon

CHELAN - Al-Anon meets every Tuesday, 12 p.m. in the Apple Cup Cafe Banquet Room. This is an open meeting.

Cancer Support Groups

CHELAN - Second Meeting Added: The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, now has 2 support groups, the second Tuesday of each month for lunch, with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday of each month at LaBrisa at 5 p.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

Community Open Space Vision meeting

CHELAN - The last community meeting for the Lake Chelan Community Open Space Vision will be on Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the City of Chelan’s Council Chambers. They will be refining the implementation steps for the Open Space Vision, reviewing final community input, and  discussing the draft online story map for the project. Chelan Fire District meeting

CHELAN - The regular meeting for Chelan County Fire District #7  will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the fire station, corner of Wapato and Sanders. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. www.chelan7.com

Veteran’s Assistance

CHELAN - The Chelan County Veteran’s Service Coordinator is in Chelan the second Thursday of each month.  Tony Sandoval will be at the Apple Cup Cafe Banquet Room, 9-11 a.m. Those veterans who need to file a claim or inquire about benefits can come at that time. MANSON - The Manson Community Council will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 6 p.m. at the Manson Park Office on Pedoi Street. All are welcome to attend.

Amateur Radio exam session

Potluck dinner

CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on the Sunday.
