Festival of Trees, Small Town Christmas

CHELAN - For the first time, Lake Chelan will have a Festival of Trees: All trees and wreaths will be on display and up for silent bids at the Lake Chelan Visitor’s Center between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24. The Santa’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 24with the Festival of Trees winning bids announced after the tree lighting. This year, all children are invited to participate in the children’s light parade. Children, decked out with glow sticks, reindeer antlers and elf hats will be leading Santa to the tree for the lighting. After the lighting, families are invited to stay and enjoy marshmallow roasting, hot cider and cocoa.
