Lake Chelan School District Levy Forum: Nov. 20

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan School District will host a Levy Forum for staff and interested community members on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 6:30 p.m., in the new District Office located at 309 E. Johnson Avenue. This February, the current Educational Programs and Operations Levy and the Technology Levy that supports the students and staff of the Lake Chelan School District will expire.  On the February 2020 ballot, the Lake Chelan School District will ask the community to consider renewing both Levy measures.

Manson Mingle: Nov. 20

MANSON - With snow on the way, and tourist season fading fast, it’s time to look forward to the next Manson Mingle set for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 6 p.m. at Succession Wines, located at 78 Swartout Road. Guest speaker will be Russ McClellan, owner Frontline RealEstate, Powered by Keller Williams. He will speak about about what Manson and Chelan will look like five years from now. The Mingle gives you a great opportunity to chat with other business owners and compare notes. The Manson Chamber of Commerce will talk about the success of past events and let you know what they have scheduled for the rest of the year and how you can get involved. You need not be a business owner to attend the Mingle. Owners Brock and Erica Lindsay, along with Tasting Room Manager, Marci Scott will be the hosts and they are looking forward to seeing you. The Chamber will provide appetizers. Be sure to bring business cards to share with others.

 

 HDCA’S Sip & Stroll:  Nov. 23

CHELAN - Spend a relaxing fall afternoon with friends, stroll through Historic Downtown Chelan and sip some of the valley’s finest wine, beer and cider. Tickets sold out before the day of the event last year. Event information can be found at www.historicchelan.org

Small Town Christmas: Nov. 29-Dec. 21

CHELAN - Kicking off the Friday after Thanksgiving, explore the boutiques of Historic Downtown Chelan during the Holiday Open House, browse beautifully decorated trees and wreaths in the Festival of Trees auction and cheer on the kids as they march in the Children’s Parade. The evening ends with Santa’s arrival and the lighting of the downtown tree. Christmas celebrations continue throughout the month of December. A Christmas Cantata: Dec. 6, 7

MANSON - The Lake Chelan Community Choir will present ‘Joy, Joy, Joy’, A Christmas Cantata on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m., at North Shore Bible Church located at 123 Wapato Point Parkway in Manson, Free admission.

 

Joysong Victorian Carolers: Dec. 7

CHELAN - Joysong Victorian Carolers from Olympia, will be presenting a free concert of traditional Christmas music in Chelan’s historic log church - St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.  Come and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Season.

 

Chelan Valley Hope’s Manger Mall: Dec. 14

MANSON - The 11th Annual Manger Mall will be held Sat., Dec. 14, at North Shore Bible Church in Manson.  The goal is to ensure that every child receives a gift for Christmas.  Registration forms have been distributed through the local schools and community service organizations.  New unwrapped “wow” toys, with a suggested value of $25, are needed and may be dropped off at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce by Dec. 9.  Homemade comfort items, such as blankets, hats and scarves are also needed.  Or, if preferred, a check payable to Manger Mall may be mailed to PO Box 477, Chelan, 98816.  Volunteers may email VolunteerMangerMall@gmail.com

Chelan High School concert: Dec. 17

CHELAN - It’s almost time for the annual afternoon concert performed by the Chelan High School concert band and jazz band.  You are invited to enjoy an hour of listening pleasure on Tuesday, December 17, 1 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (PAC).  The students have been working hard to prepare a variety of pieces, including some holiday tunes and a composition by Pateros music director, Jonathan McBride.
