Win A dream vacation to Bavaria

The Leavenworth Rotary Club is selling tickets for another dream vacation to Bavaria. Blackbird fishing pond opens

The Icicle Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding its annual Blackbird/Acclimation Pond fishing opening from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 11. The chapter has arranged for the planting of over 1,000 Cutthroat Trout by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. Prizes will be offered and information about conservation and the importance fishing as a family will be featured. (er25,26,27)

Artis Workshop: Photographing your artwork

Students, over 14, will be able to use various photographic techniques to create reasonable facsimiles of their artwork for promotional work or portfolio creation. Historical Walking Tour of Leavenworth

The Upper Valley Museum will be sponsoring another historical tour on Saturday, July 11. Tours are held the second Saturday of each month, April through October. We meet at the Upper Valley Museum at 10 a.m. The tour lasts 1-2 hours, on a couple of miles on flat ground. A donation of $3. Wear good walking shoes. Call 548-0728. (er26,27)

Senior Meals

Senior meals is still out there delivering meals to Cashmere's seniors. We are in need once again for drivers. The only way seniors meals are received by your volunteer hours. Magic Man show

A children's event is coming to the Cashmere Public Library. The Magic Man show featuring Paul Anderman is at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16 at the Cashmere Public Library, 300 Woodring Street. Regional

SCORE Workshop

Central Washington SCORE is one of more than 600 in the United States with more than 13,000 mentors, 13 of which are in North Central Washington. The local SCORE group is sponsoring a series of workshop sessions that will run through most of 2015 adressing different business factors. The next workshop is July 14, Understanding Financial Statements. All meetings will be held noon to 2 p.m at the SCORE office at 2 South Chelan. The fee for each workshop is $25 or $100 for six workshops. Register at 509-888-2900.

CDRW meeting

CDRW (Chelan Douglas Republican Women) invite you to our Monday, July 13 meeting in Wenatchee at the Red Lion Hotel. Sheriff Burnett (Chelan) and Sheriff Gesdahl (Douglas) will be presenting their program titled "Terrorism Response," They will be discussing what services are available for helping our communities in case of a terror attach. This meeting is open to everyone. CDRW is a luncheon ($15) meeting beginning at 11:30 a.m. with the business meeting starting at noon.
