Chelan Museum closed for revitalizing
CHELAN - The Chelan Museum will be closed temporarily during January and February to allow for work on revitalizing some of the exhibits. Call 682-5644, Tuesday through Friday, or email Museum@ChelanMuseum.com, for an appointment.

Conversations Around Death/Death Conversations Group
CHELAN - On the third Wednesday of each month we will meet at the Chelan Senior Center from 9-10:30 a.m. to talk about what we can do legally, emotionally, religiously, financially to prepare for our passing. This is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to attend. Each month there will be a different subject explored. St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner
CHELAN - Chelan Senior Center is opening its door for its annual St. Patrick’s Day “Corned Beef and Cabbage” dinner. This will take place on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. Cost will be $10 per person. This is a BYOB if you would like to bring an alcoholic beverage to accompany your dinner. We will be serving corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, bread and butter. Always available is coffee and tea. Please RSVP to the Senior Center at 682-2712 or csc@nwi.net. Seating is limited. EliAnn will be playing the fiddle again for your listening pleasure.

AARP Safe Drivers Class
CHELAN - This class will be held on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. This 8 hour course and may help you to receive a discount from your car insurance company (please check with your individual agents). Cost is $15 for AARP members. $20 for non-members. This will be due at the first class and you will pay the instructor Charles Mallow. You do not need to be a Chelan Senior Center member to attend. Story time Chelan / Manson Libraries
CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!

MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

Cancer Support Group, yoga class
CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. This class is held every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at Yogachelan.  Contact Yogachelan for more information.

The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, meets the second Tuesday of each month with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

Native film showing at library
CHELAN/WENATCHEE - North Central Regional Library will show the film Neither Wolf Nor Dog in its library branches this month. The film will be shown at: Chelan Public Library, 1 p.m. Feb. 23; and Wenatchee Public Library, 6 p.m. Feb. 28. The story follows a Lakota elder who gets a white author to go with him on a road trip through the Dakotas to open the author’s eyes to the elder’s experience and perspective on the world.

CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on that Sunday.

Collegiate hockey tourney
WINTHROP - The Winthrop Rink will host a Apple Puck collegiate hockey tournament with teams from: University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, Washington State University, and Western Washington University. They will compete in four head-to-head games plus a Championship Game. Outside spectating only. It will be held Friday, Feb. 22 in the afternoon and evening; all day Saturday Feb. 23. Cost to spectate: Friday $10 adult, $5 youth (6-17 years old); Saturday morning games $5 adult and youth; Saturday championship game $15 adult, $10 youth. Weekend entry pass $25 adult $15 youth; children 5 and under free.
