Annual golf fundraiser for Lake Chelan Lions Club a success

CHELAN - Around 100 golfers joined Lake Chelan Lions Club for a fun day of golf to support their programs and activities for the year on May 10. The event was held at Bear Mountain Ranch Golf Course and the weather couldn’t be more perfect. Sixteen volunteers, members of the Lions Club made the fundraiser run smoothly by helping with the putting event, checking golfers in and selling raffle tickets. Another five community helpers were also involved throughout the day. “We all had a great time on a beautiful day. It was very gratifying to see the community and the local business owners show the Lions Club so much support for our annual fundraiser. It benefits our scholarship recipients, the underserved in our community and the seniors as well,” said Bonnie Miller-Waudé, Tournament Chairman.
