Kids celebrate Fourth of July by crafting American flag

CHELAN - A handful of kids and their parents took a break from the heat, chilled in the Chelan Public Library on July 3 , and made something crafty ahead of Fourth of July celebrations. For one hour long, the kiddos had the opportunity to create a beaded American flag. One by one they inserted white, red and blue beads into a safety pin to simulate the stars and stripes of the American flag. After doing so, they were able to pin their creation and wear it proudly around town.
