MAB quilt show results

MANSON - Over 60 quilts were showcased at the 99th Manson Apple Blossom Festival’s quilt show on Saturday, May 11th, 2019.  In addition to those, Karen Jeffries, this year’s featured quilter, had more than  quilts on the stage for a beautiful display of her work.    This year’s two major winners were  Royalty’s Choice – Shimmering State Flower by Karen Phelps and People’s Choice – Cherries Jubilee by Aylee Neff.

Other winners were:
Large Quilts 1st place – Kaleidoscope Pinwheel by Ruth Rhinehart, 2nd place tie – Bee Happy by Debbie Kirchgessner and The Kiss by Sherry Dryer, 3rd place – Wedding Quilt by Christy Libbey
Medium Quilts 1st place – Fractured Peacock by Sherry Dryer, 2nd place tie – Flags by Sue Neff and Be Attitudes by Debbie Kirchgessner, 3rd place – Super Nova by Hanna Hubbard
Small Quilts 1st place – Old Blue by Elaine Meyers, 2nd place – Shimmering Sea by Karen Phelps, 3rd place - Succulents by Tracy Shaw Applique/Embroidery Category – 1st place - Noel by Jeanne Cheyne, 2nd place – Jolly Green Giant by Christy Libbey, 3rd place – Bear Collage by Idena Downey
Miscellaneous Category – 1st place – Table Scraps by Cinda Gilbert, 2nd place – Raggedy Ann Doll by Debbie Kirchgessner, and 3rd place – Present Pillow by Christy Libbey

There was a great variety of quilts and the show was enjoyed by all.
