New sculpture now on display in downtown Chelan

Posted

CHELAN - We  would like to bring Chelan's newest public art to your attention, brought to you by the Lake Chelan Arts Council and the City of Chelan.  Find it at the crosswalk midblock on Woodin Avenue.  "Miles and Miles of Blues" was sculpted in painted steel by Jay Schaan.   We are happy to provide a home for this beautiful sculpture honoring music in the valley.  The artist promised to deliver and place the piece in time for the Jazz Festival and he didn't disappoint.

Please see our Lake Chelan Outdoor Gallery brochure featuring sculpture and murals in the Lake Chelan Valley. Available at the Lake Chelan Chamber offices and at Main Street Gallery, it will soon be updated by the Lake Chelan Chamber to include some of the latest purchases by the Lake Chelan Arts Council and the City of Chelan, in a much appreciated partnership.

The Lake Chelan Arts Festival is June 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and June 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The Lake Chelan Arts Council presents our annual Arts Festival to be held in Riverwalk Park in Chelan,  Featuring beautiful, juried works of art plus music, food and fun for families.  Walk through the streets of Chelan, noticing many outdoor sculptures and murals, made possible thru the funds raised at the Arts Festival.  Cost:  Free.
