Salvation Army Bell Ringers needed in Lake Chelan Valley

Posted

CHELAN - Thanks to everyone who rang the bell last year, Chelan Valley Hope received $7,600 to help many people in need.  Every year we help over 60 individuals and families with emergency housing, rent and utility assistance, prescriptions and transportation.  Also, nine disadvantaged children were able to spend a week at the Salvation Army Camp Gifford last summer.

Our bell ringing begins the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 23 and ends the day before Christmas, December 24. Each bell ringing shift is only 1 1/2 hours and shifts start at: 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Days available:  Wednesday (Nov. 28, Dec. 5, 12 and 19), Friday (Nov. 23, Dec. 7, Dec. 21, Saturday (Nov. 24 and Dec. 22) and Monday (Dec. 24, Christmas Eve)

Be a Back up Bell Ringer:  Not sure what date?  Sing up for the  “back up bell ringer” list, and if a cancellation occurs, they can call to see if you might be able to cover it.
In-Door Locations (Friday, Saturday and Monday):  Chelan Safeway or Manson Red Apple. New - on the corner at the Chellan Post Office (outdoors) - 1/2 days on Wednesdays. Last year, we raised as much in a half day at the post office as we do in full days at other locations. Extreme Bell Ringers needed for this location.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Bell Ringers at the Red Kettle!  Please send me the date(s) and time(s) you are able to help with this important community activity.
To sign up for belling ringing contact: Jeanne Giddings, Bell Ringing Coordinator, Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign for Chelan Valley Hope. Phone or Text:  (509) 885-4868 or EMAIL:  chelanvalleyhope@gmail.com
