Chelan Student Athletes of the Week

CHELAN - Each week we will recognize a Student- Athlete from the middle school and high school sports.  

September 1-8

Congrats to Lexie Gleasman.  Lexie was chosen as the Chelan High School Student-Athlete of the week for her accomplishments in volleyball.

Lexie was nominated by Coach Jenifer Rainville: I'd like to nominate Lexie Gleasman for student athlete of the week. Here are her stats from the Wenatchee, Annie Wright and Charles Wright matches:

vs. Wenatchee 15 kills, 10/11 serving with 3 aces, 6 digs

vs. Annie Wright 10 kills, 5/7 serving, 3 digs

vs. Charles Wright 23 kills, 1 block, 12 digs, 15/16 serving with an ace

Lexie had a career high with 23 kills in the Charles Wright match. Not only is it a record high, it is a record high in a new position. Lexie went from an outside hitter to a middle.

-Other Nominees were Skyler Gordon and AJ Martinez

Skyler Gordon 10 tackles / 5 tackles for loss in the Quincy game on Sept. 1.

AJ Martinez 2 field goals and an extra point on Sept. 9. against Ephrata.

Chelan High School 

1.Tobin Weir -23 carries for 155 yards/1 touchdown/1 INT, 6 tackles in 25-6 win over Bellevue Christian - Coach Domser

2.Rosa Lopez- training hard in off-season and great work-ethic in practice - Coach Fox

3. Chris Knight- training hard in off-season and great work-ethic in practice- Coach Anderson

4. Elly Collins- helped varsity team dominate and win the Ephrata Tournament. Her stats: 10 kills, 1 block, 6 digs and 33/33 serving (100% w/14 aces)- Coach Rainville

Chelan Middle School

1. Teegan Silva -1st place in 8th grade race. Chelan competed against 10 other teams. Teegan is a great leader and role model. Leads every day in practice, warm-ups, etc.

She has great attitude and work-ethic that will make her a great XC runner. - Coach Polley
