CHS Cross Country travels to Spokane Invite

Posted

CHELAN - Chelan High School boys and girls cross country team traveled to Spokane on Sept. 8, to compete in Shadle Park’s Highlander Invitational. Chelan raced against 41 schools from Washington State, Idaho, and Montana.

Everyone who ran did exceptional. The highlights include Tegan Silva who took 5th in the freshman girls’ race and Mireya Garibay who also placed fifth in the combined race. Both girls had amazing kicks in the last 200 meters to pass several runners.

On the boy’s side Chris Knight, a junior running in the senior race, just missed out on a ribbon placing 21st.
