Colt Corrigan commits to Whitworth University

Will play baseball for the Pirates

Posted

It is with great pleasure that Chelan High School Athletics announces that Colt Corrigan has received a scholarship to attend Whitworth University, and fulfill his dream of playing college baseball. Colt chose to commit to Whitworth University and play baseball for the Pirates over other scholarship offers he had from multiple colleges and universities.

Colt is the son of Todd and Amber Corrigan and Tyler and Raye Evans. Colt is a multi-sport student-athlete at Chelan High School. During his career, he has earned All-Caribou Trail League recognition in both football and baseball. He has been invited and participated in baseball events such as the Kansas City Royals Area Code Invite, the Pacific Northwest Regional Baseball Invite, and the Baseball Northwest Championship Tournament. He has also played summer baseball for the Spokane Crew, which has allowed him to play in many different competitions and major tournaments in Arizona and in Las Vegas.

Colt has been a part of Future Farmers of America, our mentor program working with younger peers, as well as serving on a Puerto Rico Mission trip to help those in need. Colt’s strength in athletics is baseball, but his overall strength is in academics.

Colt has a 3.95 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society and takes academics very seriously. In his career, he has taken many college credit courses at CHS such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Spanish 101, English 101, and English 102.

Colt is a humble young man and has put in a great deal of work, not only on the field, but also in the classroom to be able to earn this opportunity. He gives all credit to his family and all his coaches for helping become the student- athlete and young man he is today.

Colt is an outstanding role model for all students that attend the Lake Chelan School District. He symbolizes what it means to be a GOAT. He is a great leader, student, and athlete. He has passion for what he believes in; his integrity and how he carries himself on and off the field is second to none. He makes people around him better, and he wants to be the very best he can in everything he does.  Colt is and has been a great reflection of what we want all student-athletes to accomplish. We wish him the best, and we know that he is going to go on and do great things.

We are proud of you Colt. Congrats to you and your family.  GO GOATS!
