Entiat volleyball: A summery of discovery

Posted

ENTIAT - After losing four starters and a libero from last year, over the summer the Entiat Volleyball team tried different rotations in order to see where new girls were comfortable and did their best.

With three returning players, the team has gained five sophomores who moved up to the Varsity team this year.

“They have worked hard to bring their level up to be ready to compete,” said head coach Heather Long.

Long’s expectations remain the same, “to make sure we get a spot to play in Districts and compete for a spot at state.  We take it one match at a time and try not to look too far forward.  We want to be ready for the opponent we are playing next and then prepare for the next one.”

Entiat’s biggest strength is their chemistry, the girls work hard for each other. “Nobody wants to disappoint.”

So far it has been a great competition, “it’s better to be challenged so we can continue to improve our game,” said Long.
