Goats host Granger Spartans for intense battle

CHELAN – The Goats hosted Granger Spartans, Saturday, Dec. 2 for an exciting battle from start to finish. Granger was dynamic right from tip-off, with aggressive defense and on-point shots. The Goats held up to the pressure applied by the Spartans, fighting back intensive defense, rebounds and baskets, ending the first half with the Goats up 35-33.  Going into the second half of the game, the Spartans came back, taking the lead, while the fast-paced action lead Chelan into foul troubles,
Leading the team was Quinn Stamps with 21 points and 14 rebounds, followed by Connor Wilson’s 20 points with eight rebounds. “I’m proud of the way our guys fought to the finish tonight,” said Head Coach Jeff Pearl, “unfortunately, we made too many mistakes late in the game and in OT to overcome.”
Chelan will host their next game against the Cascade Kodiaks, Tuesday, Dec. 5.
