Goats soccer beat Cashmere and Okanogan

Ready for playoffs against Oroville

CHELAN - The Goats soccer team might be squarely in second place in the CTL 1A division, but they got over the hump - so-to-speak - against Cashmere.

After losing in a 1-0 heartbreaker earlier in the year in Cashmere, Chelan returned the favor to the Bulldogs in similar fashion, winning by a final score of 1-0 on Tuesday, April 25.

However, as the score would tell you, it wasn’t easy.

Chelan had to work for every shot they had and the game even got a little physical as the rivals looked for any opportunity to score. Still, Chelan controlled the ball for the majority of the game they just had a tough time piecing together a nice run with a good through ball.

Both teams headed into half tied, but Chelan was able to pull ahead in the second and control the ball the rest of the game to take the win and even the season match up.

The Goats then traveled up to Okanogan on Thursday, April 27 and beat the Bulldogs by a final score of 3-1.

Chelan took on Cascade in a rubber match on Tuesday, May 2. Chelan will wait to see who they play next week in the Regional at the Apple Bowl in Wenatchee.
