Goats triumph over Blaine Borderites

Posted

CHELAN – Goats hosted Blaine Borderites for an aggressive battle, Friday, April 6 at Mountain Goat Field in Chelan.
Leading in runs in the first two innings, Blaine was unprepared for the Goats’ comeback. By the third inning, Chelan earned a tied score of 4-4, and broke that tie with a single RBI by Connor Wilson.
Refusing the Borderites any further runs, the Goats’ continued their streak of runs, defeating Blaine with a final score of 7-4. “It was a good day for the Goats,” supplied Head Coach Dana Papasedero, “as our bats continued to stay hot, pounding out 13 hits in the game.”
Offensively, the game was led by Connor Wilson, Colt Corrigan, Bryson Darlington and Kenny Reeves with two hits each, said Papasedero. “On the mound, crafty sophomore (and) left hander Connor Wilson threw a three-hit complete game to earn the win,” he said, “allowing no earned runs and using only 86 pitches to dispatch our opponent.”
Next home game for Goats’ baseball hosts Nooksack Valley in a double header, Saturday, April 14 at Mountain Goat Fields beginning at 11 a.m.
