Game 1 - Manson 2  Liberty Bell 1
MANSON - The Trojans welcomed the Mountain Lions of Liberty Bell to beautiful Singleton Park in Manson on April 13.  The stage was set for a fierce battle as both teams are alive in the playoff hunt.  The Trojans sent staff ace Avery Thompson who has been dialed-in this season and came into the game throwing 28 strikeouts with 5 walks in only 18 innings of work.  The Trojan catcher was senior Jose Pascasio.

Thompson went to work going 6 2/3 innings giving up only 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 8 and walking 5 using 107 pitches.

Pitching in relief was Caleb Rossell who only needed to record the final out of the game for Thompson to collect the win.

Rossell earned the save and went 1/3 inning with no runs and no hits, striking out the one batter he faced to close the game.

Defensively the Trojans committed two errors, but played solid throughout the game.  Senior center-fielder Victor Calderon turned in a beautiful running catch.  Cole Cochran also had a huge catch in right field.

Offensively the Trojans were patient and played their signature small ball to manufacture the 2 runs needed for the win.

Seniors were clutch on the day and both Avery Thompson and Jose Pascasio each had big RBI’s, and the big hit came from another senior Bryan Bernardo who sliced one down the left field line.

Trojans with hits were: Jose Pascasio 2, Caden Beazley, Parker Schoenwald, Bryan Bernardo.
A great win for the Trojans indeed!!!
