Win over Liberty Bell puts Lady Trojans 3-0 in the league

MANSON - Manson Volleyball hosted Liberty Bell on Tuesday Oct. 2,  for the Trojan’s third league match of the season and Manson won in three straight sets.

Set scores were 25-7, 25-14 and 25-11.

The Trojans came out on fire and ready to work - and by the end of the night, Megan Clausen racked up 10 kills and 4 solo blocks.

Maycee Ward served an impressive 29/30 for the night with 8 aces, hammered out 8 kills and had 11 digs.

Briseida Landa added 9 digs and led the team in Serve Receive.

Josephine Thompson helped boost the Trojans with 20/21 serving and 8 aces and added 19 assists.

Tuesday’s win puts the Trojan’s league record at 3-0, with 5 matches left in regular season play.

Lady Trojans Volleyball continue winning streak

BRIDGEPORT - The Trojans travelled to Bridgeport on Thursday, Oct. 4 and beat the Fillies in 3 sets.

The Trojans dominated from the start- ending with set scores of: 25-10, 25-16 and 25-13.

Megan Clausen led the team in kills with 16 and served 16/17 with 4 aces.

Maycee Ward served 24/24 with 4 aces and led the team in digs with 8.

Josephine Thompson led the team in assists with 17 and added 5 kills.

Megan, Maycee and Josephine also led the team in Serve Receive.
Kendall Petre served 3/4 with 2 aces and added 4 kills for the Trojans.
Thursday’s win puts Manson’s record at 4-0 with 4 league matches left in the season. 

In JV action, the Trojans won 2 sets to 1 with set scores of 26-24, 25-27 and 25-14.
Highlights include Maya Hannah with 5 kills, Brenda Alonso had 4 and Melanie Marin added 3.
Behind the service line, Jenny Cesar-Alonso served 17/17 with an ace, Brenda Alonso served 12/13 with 4 aces, Ali Adame served 4/4, Natalie Solorio served 3/3 and Stefany Luna served 2/2 with 1 ace.

In C team action- the Trojans dropped the match 1 set to 2 with set scores 16-25, 19-25 and 15-12.
Highlights came from Teresa Venegas and Esme Aguilar who each had 2 kills.
Behind the service line Natalie Solorio served 14/14, Bryanna Harris and Esme Aguilar each served 9/9 and Teresa Venegas served 7/7 with 2 aces.
The C team served 90% on the night.

Up next: the Trojans hosted Lake Roosevelt on Tuesday, Oct. 9 and will travel to Oroville on Thursday, Oct. 11.
JV will start at 5 and Varsity to follow.

Manson looses to Lake Roosevelt in shootouts

The lady Trojans lost to Lake Roosevelt in a heartbreaker for the lady Trojans. At the end of regulation the score was tied 1-1.    Both teams had their opportunities to score in the first half, the only difference was that Lake Roosevelt did capitalize and score to end the first half 1-0.    The lady Trojans came back in the second half to score and tie the game to end the game 1-1 on a breakaway goal from Nadia Verduzco.  After two five minutes overtime periods the score remained 1-1 so the game went to penalty kicks.  In penalty kicks lake Roosevelt beat Manson 3-0.
