CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Golf Club, Ladies Division proudly announces the 2017 recipients of the Ladies Golf Club Scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded to a senior girl on the Chelan and Manson golf team who plans further their education after high school.  It is based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement.  This year as there were no applicants from Manson High School, two scholarships are being awarded to senior girls from Chelan High School. The winners of a $500 scholarship each are Madisyn Harrison and Annika Nolen.

Madisyn Harrison (pictured on the left) is the daughter of Todd A. and Cindi R. Harrison.   She has maintained a 3.4 grade point average while participating in several activities.  Madisyn has been a Chelan golf team member for the past two years, played on the volleyball and basketball teams for four years, as well as being an AAU referee for girls’ basketball. She has many community involvements. Madisyn plans to attend Wenatchee Valley College for two years for pre-requisites for dental hygiene and then Eastern Washington University to complete her degree in that field.

Annika Nolen( pictured on the right) is the daughter of Kristen Nolen and the late Nick Nolen. She has maintained a 3.9 grade point average while participating in several activities. Annika has been a varsity golf member for three years, was a two-time bi-district qualifier, and won “most-improved” in 2015. Annika also has been a band member and jazz band member during her four years of high school as well as performing many hours of community service.

Annika plans to attend Azusa Pacific University this fall for a degree in Commercial Music.

The Lake Chelan Golf Club, Ladies Division congratulates both Madisyn Harrison and Annika Nolen, and thanks them for being such wonderful ambassadors for promoting women in golf.
