| Understanding 'Austerity' |
A couple of years ago, the terms "too big to fail" and "bailout" were the trendy buzzwords. Currently, the "in" word seems to be "austerity." On both sides of the Atlantic, public officials and media pundits are debating the need for "fiscal austerity programs," i.e., shrinking government deficits by increasing tax revenues and/or reducing expenditures.

People have been asking if being elected a PUD commissioner will affect either my Chelan City councilmember office or my law practice. There is no legal barrier to serving both as a PUD commissioner and a Chelan councilmember.

I jumped in the ambulance to travel with them and saw how excellent the paramedic was in her quick skill to put an IV needle in Camille's shin bone to get medicine in her quickly to try and stop the seizure. Unfortunately, the seizure wasn't stopping.
