She was born Sept. 22, 1950, in Renton.
Nancy loved the outdoors through out her life, raising a family on the Puget Sound at Day Island in Tacoma, and later living and working at Mt. Rainier National Park. Nancy spent the last several years living next to her waterfall on the upper Entiat with her husband of 16 years, George Young and their dogs and kitty cats. During these years she also made many special friends working at Lake Chelan Community Hospital.
Nancy is survived by her husband George; son Byron Florence of Kent ; doggies Tule and Dela; and kitties Merle and Sassy.
An informal celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 1 p.m., on July 10, at friends Ross Rowell and Judy Moser's home, located at 7259 Entiat River Road.
It was Nancy's wish that a contribution to the Humane Society be made in her memory, rather than sending flowers.

So Sad. I met Nancy when she first came to LCCH. She was an asset to the hospital from the beginning. She became a true friend to me. She was a sweet person and we loved her. An old board member. Cal Swindell
