| Tumwater Bridge repairs to begin in North Cascades National Park |
The National Park Service will be conducting erosion control and abutment work on Tumwater Bridge along the Stehekin Valley Road in North Cascades National Park. The construction will temporarily close the Stehekin Valley Road to all vehicle traffic above Tumwater Campground on weekdays beginning Monday, July 26.

Wow! I am thrilled to be your Lake Chelan Rodeo Queen for 2010! I plan to work hard in promoting the Rodeo and help with continuing its growth throughout the year. Rodeo is a sport for all age groups and is such an exciting and unique sport.
I am 20 years old and live in the beautiful Entiat Valley; I have been fortunate to be the fifth generation to be raised on our family orchard, with my parents Karolyn and Fred Scaman and my older brother David. We have five wonderful horses, three energetic dogs and one grumpy cat.

| ChelanMan draws draws crowds to Lakeside |
Competitors and spectators descended on Lakeside park Saturday and Sunday for the ChelanMan Multisport Weekend.
The overall winner for the triathlon was Josh Hadway, who completed all three events - bike, run and swim - in 4:28:04.6. The lead woman was Joanna Pomykala at 5:23:58.2. Complete results are available online at the event's website, chelanman.com.

| Campfire restrictions begin on National Forest in Chelan County |
Hot, dry weather and increased potential for fire have prompted forest officials to implement campfire restrictions in lower elevation portions of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest located in Chelan County.
To help protect communities and natural resources from potential wildfire, campfire restrictions go into effect for dispersed areas of Chelan, Entiat and parts of the Wenatchee River Ranger Districts of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, effective Friday, July 9.

| Chelan 10U girls fastpitch team wraps up season |
Chelan's 10U fastpitch team ended the regular season with a 9-1 record. The lone loss for the regular season was against Studio 228. The team's entire season, including the opening tournament on Mother's Day weekend and the League Championship Tournament on Father's Day weekend, was 15-4.
