Life is Sweet in Lake Chelan

CHELAN - The Miss Lake Chelan pageant “Life is Sweet in Lake Chelan” took place on Saturday, March 9 at the Chelan High School Performing Arts Center. Eight young ladies competed to earn a spot in the 2019 MLC Royalty. The evening program was inspired by the old soda fountains and candy shops.
The candidates preformed a fitness routine to the songs “Lollipop” and “I want candy. Followed by a showcase of their talents. The candidates hit the floor with their escorts and delighted more than one with their sweet moves to “Tutti Frutti.” “Nothhin’ but a hound dog” was performed by the escorts featuring Aevalynn Dalton, Jayla Schmidt, Sarai Armeta and Roselyn Acevedo Ruiz. Caroline Kelly, Ella Tschetter, Haylee Fry, Ana Torres. Aslyn Sanderson, Talitha Zelaya, Macaela LaPorte and Odaliz Ordaz were put under pressure as they each answered a question from MC Kelly Allen.
Intermission was followed by raffle drawing a farewell to the MLC 2018 Royalty Queen Lucy Bordner and Princess Rosa Lopez Barboza. Scholarship awards and the crowing of the 2019 royalty concluded the program.
