50th Woodstock fun-raiser set for Aug. 17 benefits Chelan Valley Hope

Free boat ride available from Manson to Watsons Resort, reservations required

CHELAN - Save the date, August 17, will be the big 50-year anniversary of Woodstock, and a fun-raiser for Chelan Valley Hope. This year it is back at Watson’s Alpenhorn Resort. Gates open at 4 p.m., music begins at 4:30 p.m. and the event runs until 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person, with kids under 12 free. Dogs are welcome on leash with well-trained owners. Food and beverages, including local wines, will be available for purchase. Outside coolers or beverages are not permitted. Everyone is encouraged to bring a comfortable chair or picnic blanket for festival seating.

MANSON TO WOODSTOCK “The Woodstock Special'' a pontoon boat, donated by Shoreline Rentals will be piloted by licensed Master Pilot, Danny Lockhart. The boat ride will transport people from the Manson dock to the Dock at Watson’s Resort. At Watson's Resort, there will be a van, courtesy of North Shore Bible Church, which will transport people up the hill to the event at Watson’s Alpenhorn Outback Café. The boat ride is free, but must be reserved in advance as there is limited seating per voyage. First crossing is at 4 p.m., second crossing approximately 4:45 p.m. Return crossings will be at 9 p.m. and approximately 9:30 p.m. It is possible that other crossings could be provided, depending on the number of reservations. Reservations may be made by calling Chelan Valley Hope at 509-888-2114 on Mondays or Wednesdays (you can leave a message if CVH is closed), or by contacting Catharine at 509-449-1913. This ride will save event goers from the Manson area, 2 hours of drive time and allows them to safely enjoy a glass of local wine while leaving the driving to someone else! Get your reservations in fast! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Commemorative t-shirts are available for $25 at Chelan Valley Hope and the venue. A Silent Auction and Raffle Items will make the evening even more lively and fun. Jack Schafer, retired hydro race driver, is donating a ride in the vintage Unlimited Hydroplane, “Miss U.S.” for live auction at the Woodstock event. The ride will take place during the Merlot and Mahogany event in October.
Door and Costume prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. Costume contests include: Best Hippie, Best 1969 and most Original Outfit.
All the money received from tickets, the auction, food and t-shirt sales will go to support Chelan Valley Hope, who provides assistance to those within our community in crisis and need.
Last year CVH raised close to $17,000.
