Back to School Fair attracts hundreds to Community Gym

CHELAN -- The Lake Chelan School District Back to School Fair was Sunday, August 11 at the Community Gym attracting hundreds of kids from all over (and even outside) the district. Backpacks, school supplies, kids haircuts, community resources, car seat safety inspections, games and family fun were offered to all comers.
A team of barbers were on hand to give the young boys that clean back-to-school haircut just in time to impress their new teachers and fellow students.
Many local charitable community resource organizations were on hand to help smooth the transition from summer playtime to serious academics.
Columbia Valley Community Health, Molina Healthcare, Chelan Thrive and even EMS officers attended the event to show kids safety tips, how to avoid excess sugar in their diets and many other solutions to day-to-day success as they enter a new school year.
