Community Services Council donates to Lake Chelan Swim Program

MANSON - Members of the Lake Chelan Community Services Council presented a $1,500 donation to Viki Downey, for the Lake Chelan Swim Program on May 20.  

This swim program is the only program in the Chelan Valley offering American Red Cross Swim Safety lessons to people of all ages at no cost to participants. Over 500 people a year have been participating. To learn more and register for swim safety classes go to www.swimmansonbay.com. The Lake Chelan Community Services Council has been donating funds and support since 1971 to nonprofit organizations and programs in the Chelan Valley.  The Services Council supports local programs, such as Senior Meals, Food Bank, Manson Grange, Habitat for Humanity, schools, libraries, and more. The Council is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 charitable organization that accepts tax deductable donations.
