E-Cycle event this weekend at Chelan Earth Day Fair

20 yard bin for collection available Friday-Monday

Posted

CHELAN - Deep Water Home and Electronics in Chelan, along with Living Green Technology have put together an E-Cycle event in conjunction with the Chelan Earth Day this Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Riverwalk Park.

They have had a lot of questions about what can and can't be recycled. It's easier to list what can't be recycled at this event: Appliances, Light Bulbs and CRT Televisions and Monitors (The OLD style, heavy box TVs and computer monitors). Pretty much anything else is game. Please see them at their booth this weekend at the Chelan Earth Day Fair for more details.

They will have a representative from Living Green Technologies there to answer any questions you may have. They are the company that has agreed to help recycle these items and Deep Water Home and Electronics is thrilled that they are willing to do this for our community.

Starting Friday, April 19, the City of Chelan will place a 20 yard bin in the parking lot behind the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. The bin will remain there until Monday, April 29, and will be able to hold large electronics (TVs, computers, monitors, printers, etc).

On Saturday, April 20, Deep Water & Electronics will have a small bin in their store for all small electronics (cell phones, batteries, cables, connectors, printer ink, small radios, etc.) and it will be there indefinitely. Additional pickups for large electronics will be planned at least once a quarter.

Stop by their booth at the fair to learn when, where and how to RECYCLE your electronics. Computers, cell phones, printers, microwaves, DVD players and so much more! Go green with them this year at the Earth Day Fair.
