Fire Commisioners vote NO to fire levy in the fall

CHELAN - The public spoke at the special meeting held by the Chelan Fire and Rescue Board of Fire Commissioners on Monday, August 6. The public shared their opinions in regards running a levy lid lift for the second time this year in the fall. This time people for it and against it were present. Out of those who gave public commentary 10 gave their best judgement as to why the levy should go on the ballot once again. SIx community members represented the other side, as to why it shouldn’t go on the ballot. After hearing both sides and after further discussion, a motion to rerunning the levy did not passed.
