Fourth annual appreciation BBQ to be held in Manson

MANSON – The Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary – Post 6853 present the fourth annual Veteran’s, First Responders/EMT & Law Enforcement Officer barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Starting at 3 p.m. service men and women a long with their families will have the chance to enjoy the event at Champion Orchards, 2470 Totem Pole Road in Manson, all free of charge.

Those who attend will be able to win door prizes and savor ribs, chicken and all other great fixings contributors and volunteers will put together.

Robert Serafini member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary – Post 6853, stated that this event was something that crossed his mind four years ago as an effort to “say thanks” to all service men and women for all the great amounts of work they do for our community.

Each year the event grows more and more and this year approximate 130 people are expected to attend.
