LCCHC Board approves CEO qualifications

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Community Hospital and Clinics (LCCHC) Board of Commissioners met earlier on today, July 9 in executive session to discuss Chief Executive Officer (CEO) qualifications. In a regular session held afterwards, the Board voted to the approve the following skillsets and expericiences for the ideal canditate:

  • MHA, MBA or similar required
  •  3+ years of progressive and sucessful hospital CEO experience, preferably in a 25-100 bed acute care hospital
  • Solid track record of tangible accomplishments in volume growth, new service development, physician recruitment, quality and patient satisfaction, operations improvement, and community involment
  • ACHE fellow/member preferred
  • Public hospital CEO experience preferred
  • Critical access hospital experience preferred
  • Hospital construction experience preferred

Six CEO candidates will be interviewed in the course of the next three days, starting on Wenesday July 10 through July 12. Commissioner Mary Murphy stated that the Search Committee is still taking in resumes and applications of interested and qualified candidates. Current LCCHC CEO Steve Patonai will be retiring in September of this year.
