Thrive Chelan Valley appoints program director to oversee new Fusion program

Chelan – Thrive Chelan Valley recently announced the appointment of Tori Carpenter to oversee the expansion of Fusion Mentoring to include a brand new program focused on one-on-one mentoring in the Lake Chelan Valley. Working with the Fusion Leadership Team, Tori will oversee the creation, development and implementation of the Fusion One-on-One Mentoring Program.  

 Tori is looking forward to building such a beneficial program from the ground up and watching it transform the lives of youth in the Lake Chelan Valley. 

“My goal is to create a solid foundation, to be sure this incredible program can carry over from year to year for generations to come,” says Tori of the goal for her first six months in the position. 

 Tori comes to the Fusion program with both experience and a connection to the cause, having been both a mentee and a mentor. She is currently studying online at Central Washington University to pursue a degree in public health administration and has been an integral part of the Lake Chelan community since moving here from Yakima  in February 2017.

Fusion is a program of Thrive Chelan Valley, a non-profit organization that works to help all Chelan Valley youth reach their full potential and empower the community to be part of this vision. The Fusion mentoring program connects youth in the Lake Chelan Valley with caring mentors to form positive mentoring relationships that inspire personal growth. The expansion of Fusion will add a brand-new program focused on one-on-one mentoring between adults and students to help kids have the opportunity to reach their full potential in life and in their middle/high school education. Fusion plans to have a pilot group of 25 mentor/mentee relationships in the 2017-2018 school year, with an initial focus on grades 7-9.
