Plumber wins CBC raffle

Posted

CHELAN - Chelan Basin Conservancy sold almost 1,000 tickets during its third fund-raising campaign earlier this summer.
The winning ticket was drawn during Kozi's popular Second Cup of Coffee show on Saturday, July 13. Wenatchee resident Patty Plumber bought the winning ticket at Pybus Market and said, "Wow, Stehekin is one of my favorite places. I'm so happy."
Chelan Basin Conservancy will resume meetings in September to continue work toward protecting Lake Chelan and public access to it.
A new sign will appear soon on Highway 97A encouraging boat owners to launch a clean, drained and dry watercraft. Protecting the lake from aquatic invasive species by keeping the general public informed is another goal of Chelan Basin Conservancy.
The annual Stehekin-trip raffle provides funds for CBC's work and also gives members an opportunity to talk with residents and visitors about the conservancy and its goals.
