Ray was born July 14, 1956 to Dennis Bare Sr. and Barbara Bare (Branch) in Columbus, Ohio. He  passed away November 17, 2018 in East Wenatchee, Wash. In the early 1970 he and his family moved to Chelan, Wash. In 1973 he enlisted in the Army then transferred to the Marines. When he got out of the Marines he returned to Chelan where he worked in a few different restaurants and then in construction until he retired. In 1986 he had his only child Christa.

Ray was an avid bass fisherman and was a member of the B.A.S.S for many years where he  participated in many tournaments all over the country with Audie Palmantier and Cliff Sapp. He also  enjoyed salmon and bottom fishing on the ocean with his brother Guy Bare. The two had a tradition of going to West Port for a yearly fishing trip that Ray always looked forward too. He loved riding his Harley on a warm summer day. Ray was a skilled wood worker and liked making wooden canes that he donated to the VFW. Cooking and entertaining family and friends was another passion of Rays.

Ray is preceded by his mother, father, 2 sisters and his beloved dog Zeus whom he loved like a  son.

Surviving relatives Christa Blake (Ruse), granddaughter Azelynn, son-in-law Drew Blake, brother  Guy Bare, and numerous nieces and nephews.
