Born in Portland Oregon January 24, 1922 to Dr. Leroy Albright and Sara Matilda Munn, Lorraine died at home. She left us peacefully and with grace as she did everything in her life.  She died shortly after her family sang Happy Birthday on January 24, 2017 at Chelan, Washington. 

Lorraine attended grade school at Lake Leland Washington in a one room school house, High School in Quilcene, Washington and nursing school at Seattle University and Providence Hospital. She married George Nichols June 7th 1941 in the little old school building at Lake Leland, Washington. George proceeded Lorraine in death in 2004 as did daughter Niki Jo Nichols (Young) in 2009. Lorraine and George were married for 63 years.

They are survived by three children, Nancy Ellen Bolomey (Jean-Michel) of Chelan Washington, Norman George Nichols (Millie) of Honolulu Hawaii and Nita Suzanne Nichols (Mike Connors) of Ritzville, Washington.  Three Grand Children , Brian Halbert (Alicia,) Robin Halbert (Calli Jo), Adrianne Young (Erik Cannella) and four great grandchildren. Willian Wallace Halbert, Benjamin Nicholas Halbert, Alliana Lorraine Halbert and Adelaide Vie Young.

In their 63 years together George and Lorraine had many adventures; they lived in Wailuku Maui, Hawaii; Union, Washington; Shelton, Washington and Port Townsend, Washington where they owned and were the original restorers of the Starrett House, Tempi, Arizona and in their final 15 years they moved to Chelan, Washington where they were blessed with many friends and were active in the community.

There will be a  private family gathering for the interment of Lorraine's ashes with George’s in Honolulu at the Military Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
