Esther Krohn

It’s with heavy hearts that the Krohn family announces the passing of their mother, Esther Krohn, on November 29, 2017.  

Esther was born August 12, 1916 to Bert and Mildred Lawton Sr., in Colfax, Iowa.  It was here she met her husband and father of her five children, Lloyd Krohn.  In 1960 they left Iowa and settled in Lake Chelan, Washington with their 5 children.  Esther worked in child care until her children were grown.  She then worked at Trout until her retirement in the early 90’s.  Being outside and working in her garden is what she enjoyed the most.  She also enjoyed pottery, working at the senior center and attending church.

Esther is survived by her children, Carol Krohn, Jerry and Francis Krohn, Karen Mangapinto, Lloyd Krohn, and Robert Krohn.  Surviving grandchildren include Andrea, Terry Jo, Michell and Chris.  Her brother Bert and Joyce Lawton Jr..  There are many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. 

 She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Krohn, son David Krohn, and her brothers and sisters.

 Services were held Dec. 8, 2017.
