Fernanda Jamilette Galvan Garcia, 10-year-old daughter of Miguel Galvan and Maria Luisa Garcia, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

She was born July 18, 2008 at Lake Chelan Community Hospital, and lived in Manson with her mother, father, brother, Miguel Angel (age 15), and sister, Brianna (age 6). She was deeply loved by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and classmates.

Fernanda attended Manson Elementary School and was excited to begin another year with her fifth grade class. Fernanda was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Fernanda, affectionately known by friends and family as Fer, was funny, outgoing and kindhearted.  She loved listening to music and dancing.  She also had a keen eye for fashion and loved dressing up with beautiful clothing, shoes and jewelry.  She cared deeply for animals and spent much of her free time with her cousin Esmeralda’s dogs, Lexi and Sophie.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 4 p.m. at Manson High School Gymnasium, followed by a potluck in the Commons area.

A rosary will be recited Friday, August 24, 2018, at 6 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 9 a.m., both at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Committal Service and Internment will follow at Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan.
