Florence M. Sines

Florence Mildred Sines (McFarlin) was born January 31, 1918 in Mansfield, Washington, to Emmitt and Adeline McFarlin. She died at Regency Wenatchee on July 6, 2017 at the age of 99. Her family moved to Chelan when she was a small child and she attended school there, graduating in 1936. After graduation, she worked for the Forest Service for 5 years, then moved to Seattle when she married Douglas C. Sines on Dec. 28, 1941. Florence moved back to Chelan when Doug was inducted into the Navy and other than several years in Bridgeport, the family made Chelan their home for the rest of their lives. She enjoyed working at the Sand and Surf, the Department Store, Chelan Shoe Store, and Aston Drug. Florence was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters, 1 brother, and her husband. She leaves behind sons Dennis Sines (Sharon), Jerry Sines (Linda), and daughter Beverly Sines Spalding, 11 grandchildren, and many great grand children and sister Lois McArthur.

Services for Florence will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Precht Rose Chapel in Chelan.  After a private family graveside service immediately following the service, the family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of her life upstairs at the Chelan Eagles, starting at 3:00 PM.  Please join them to celebrate her life and share stories you have with the family.  Food will be provided.
