J. Richard (Dick) Jorgensen

Dick Jorgensen, a long-time visitor and resident in Chelan, passed away on October 1, 2018 in King County, Washington.  Dick was raised in Utah with his family on a sheep ranch; he then worked in California until moving to Hawaii in the late 1960's.  He worked for Mililani Town, Inc. on Oahu as land development superintendent until 1975 when he began work as owner's representative developing the Sheraton Molokai, then as construction manager for Wailea Development.  He continued his career as general contractor in Hawaii where he was President of JDH Construction.  After retiring in 1995 in Chelan, Washington, Dick enjoyed fishing, golf and hunting.  Coming out of retirement, Dick continued to develop homes in Omak, Washington for his own corporation, DJ Building Consultants, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his daughters Cynthia Miller and Marianne Brown, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Michael, and sisters Roberta Summers and April Monday.
