Judith L. (Judy) Swanson

Posted

Judy L. Swanson, born October 6, 1943, died on June 28, 2017.

She left a son with a good start in life, and taught him respect and responsibility for himself and others. She never left his side and sacrificed a lot to make sure he had a good and safe life. She always made sure there was food on the table, clothes on his back, a roof over his head, and loved him to the fullest, a mother that any child would want to have for a mother.

Judy always had a sense of humor and was fun to be around, which everyone adored and cherished. She worked at Mr. J’s Bowling Alley for many years with her good friend Marilyn Raines and family. She has brought much joy and cheers to her customers and employee’s, and will be sorely missed.

She also cleaned houses to make ends meet and at the same time brought laughter to each of her customers while she cleaned their houses and made sure everything was spic and span, so no harm would come to them and their health was better. The thing that was the best about her is that she never over charged because she never wanted to take advantage of anyone. That was always part of her kind and caring nature.

The good times that Judy will be remembered by the most, will be the days of the cook shack at the Chelan Rodeo with Clyde McCollough Sr. and family, to Maxine Tackitt and the Red Hatters, and was in the middle of things always trying to help out the best she could.

Dependable, loyal, and trustworthy, thank you Judy for your kindness and hard work.

Finally, she was an excellent daughter and sister. She always made sure that her mother, Ruby Swanson, was always safe, nurtured, and cared for when she was living at home toward the 3 years in the nursing home and stayed by her side until the very last hours and to her last breath.

As tired as Judy was, she had enough strength and courage to take care of her brother, Gary, and despite the fact that Gary was a handful mentally, physically, and emotionally, Judy loved and cared for him anyway because they were brother and sister, they were family. In short, Judy was an excellent daughter, sister, mother, and best friend that anyone could have, loving, caring, and compassionate, and we shall always remember Judy L. Swanson.
