June T. Ansel

Posted

June T. Ansel, age 87, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 13th, 1930 in Twisp, WA, then moved to Chelan, WA where she met the love of her life, Paul Ansel. They were married in 1947, and celebrated seventy years of marriage in November of 2017.

In the mid 1940’s, June worked as an usherette at the Ruby Theatre in Lake Chelan, and her love for the lake was passed on to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who consider it their second home. She was an avid flower gardener, and she loved to crochet. She enjoyed fashion, shopping, family camping trips, and basking in the sun. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend, with a heart of gold. She was empathetic to others, no matter where they came from, or who they were, and always had an open heart and home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Theresa Kent, who were lifelong residents of Lake Chelan, and her son, Rick Ansel. She is survived by her sister, Jane Hendrix, of Winchester, ID, her children, Duane Ansel, Jane Janes and Patti Hanson, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, stubbornness and strength, and will forever be missed.
