Kenneth LeRoy Nicholas, 75, of Chelan, Wash., passed away on Jan. 10, 2019. He was born on Feb. 28, 1943 to parents Russ and Eleanor Nicholas in Seattle, Wash.

He graduated Bothell High School 1961, attended Barber College and was a school bus driver while waiting to get into the Police Academy. He then graduated to become a Seattle Police Officer until retiring. He also worked as a Seattle Gift Show Security, Federal Court Security, and Eagles Secretary for Aeries.

He enjoyed golfing, yard work, riding motorcycles, his wife, life, kids, grandkids and his great-granddaughter.

He was a member of the Lake Chelan Eagles, Seattle Police Guild, Seattle Police Relief Association, a  lifetime member of the Seattle Police Athletic Association, Seattle Police Motorcycle Drill Team, Seattle Police Bowling League, and past member of Elks and Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Quirk Nicholas; sons, Sean Nicholas (wife Gina), grandsons Josh and Nolan; Matthew Nicholas (wife Jalene); daughter Jeanne Nicholas (husband Curtis Flatray), grandson Kyle; granddaughter Kelsey Whetstine (husband Koby), great-granddaughter Blake; and granddaughter Mikayla Flatray.

He was preceded in death by his father Russell Nicholas, mother Eleanor Nicholas and brother Arthur Nicholas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Lake Chelan Eagles.
