Lloyd Curtis Killian

Lloyd Curtis Killian, born February 28, 1932, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2017.  Our beloved father and friend lived life to the fullest and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, in his Scottsdale, Arizona home.

Curt was born in Manson, Washington, a small town, on majestic Lake Chelan.  He was the oldest of four boys, and raised on the family farm.  He went on to receive his bachelors & master’s degree at Washington State College(WSU) and USC, respectively.  Curt served four years in the United States Army, and was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  There he met his future bride, Zulma Trani. The couple moved to Southern California, raised 2 children, and lived in the same house for 50 years.

He was very dedicated to his 35 year career as an aerospace engineer at TRW and cherished the life-long friends he met there!  Curt’s true joy was his friends....and of course, his family.  He loved to spend time vacationing with them!   The whole family made several trips to Puerto Rico and annual summer retreats to Lake Chelan.  He really enjoyed the outdoors. Hiking, camping, fishing and cooking “competition” chili were some of his favorite past times. Curt loved to be around people and was always the life of any party!  Fun Facts: He had the longest stories and his sneeze was so loud it would make your heart skip a beat. The most amazing thing about Curt was his generosity.  He loved giving to charitable organizations or to friends in need.   We all love and miss this beautiful man and look forward to seeing him again with our glorious Savior.

He is survived by his wife, Zulma, his son Rod, daughter-in-law Kelly, daughter Paula and son-in-law Kevin.
