Posted

RC age 44,  passed away at home in Whitefish, Mt. on Jan. 19, 2019.  He was born on March 11, 1974 in Wenatchee, Wash. the first of four children born to Robbe and Cathy Pitts.  He came into this world six weeks early with a fighting spirit that served him well for almost forty five years.

From the time he was two years old basketball was a big part of his life.  He loved being part of the teams his dad coached in Royal City, Sunnyside and Chelan.  RC moved to Whitefish with his family in 2002.  He found his way back to the bench when his brother Joe started his coaching career in Thompson Falls and continuing it closer to home in Bigfork.

RC loved bowling "church" on Sundays, MacGyver, comic books, music and riding in the bow of the boat on Lake Chelan.  He especially loved his two amazing grandmothers, Mary Kay Bibeau and Virginia Pitts.

He received an honorary degree from Chelan High School in 1993.  With the amazing support of faculty and students alike he graduated alongside his sister Erica.  RC was a proud Safeway employee for over ten years.

RC is survived by his parents, sisters Erica (Gordon) Smith, Sara (Jim) Stevens and brother Joe (Shauna) Pitts.  He was a loving uncle to Luke and Kate Stevens, Rachel and Bodie Smith and Jolee, Shae and Haslyn Pitts.  His extended family includes many loving and supportive aunts, uncles and cousins.

RC was a bright light in this world and a true blessing to our family.  He touched the lives of everyone he met and will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
