Scholarships for Career, Technical Education (CTE)

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Lions Club Harvey Cooper Scholarships are now available at the counselor’s office at the Manson and Chelan High Schools. We have decided this year to add two more $1,000 scholarships, for a total of six. All scholarships this year are available for graduating seniors who are planning further education in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes available at in-state accredited two-year colleges and trade schools.

The Lake Chelan Lions Club has been a vital part of the valley since 1935. The purpose of this longstanding group is to serve our community. Through many fundraising projects, the Lake Chelan Lions have donated funds, goods, and time to numerous organizations and individuals.

Lions sponsor the Harvey Cooper Scholarships, the Echo Valley Ski Club, Christmas Tree sales, Sight and hearing needs in the NC Washington, and much more. The Lions also are responsible for raising the American flags in the downtown Chelan for patriotic holidays.

The Lake Chelan Lions meets every second Thursday at a 5:30 p.m. dinner meeting and every other Thursday at noon for lunch at the Apple Cup Café conference room. If you are interested in helping to serve your community, stop by one of our meetings or talk to a Lion about joining.
