Clocks found to be culprit in bomb scare

CHELAN - The visiting bomb squad that was called from Yakima yesterday morning determined the ticking item in the trash can was none other than two clocks.

After the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) investigation determined there was a suspicious ticking in the trash can located adjacent to the Post Office they closed down E. Johnson Avenue and N. Emerson Street in Chelan for most of the day as the bomb squad arrived and sent out a robot to investigate the wastebin.
